Copyright and DMCA policy
Who this covers
Ralfor is operated by SASA Consulting Partners LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Care homes that use Ralfor and their staff can upload documents, photos and chat attachments. Each home is responsible for what its users upload and must have the right to store and share it. Users must not upload material that infringes anyone's copyright.
Most uploads are private to the home that made them. If you believe material stored or shown through Ralfor infringes your copyright, tell our designated agent as described below. Please do not send resident health information in a notice.
Designated agent
Notices of claimed infringement go to Ralfor's designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)):
- Name: [DMCA_AGENT_NAME]
- Company: SASA Consulting Partners LLC (Ralfor)
- Postal address: [COMPANY_POSTAL_ADDRESS]
- Email: [DMCA_AGENT_EMAIL, for example copyright@ralfor.com]
- Phone: [DMCA_AGENT_PHONE]
This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office's DMCA Designated Agent Directory [registration number, once filed].
What a notice must include
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them.
- The copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The material you say infringes it, with enough detail for us to find it (for example the page address and the home's name, if you know it).
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we act promptly to remove or disable access to the material, and we tell the home that uploaded it, including a copy of the notice. A notice that knowingly misrepresents infringement can make the sender liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send our designated agent a counter-notice with: your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where Ralfor may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We forward a valid counter-notice to that person and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
Ralfor may, in appropriate circumstances, suspend or end the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
